Anyone can print a photograph. Choosing eighty out of eleven thousand — and putting them in an order that feels like the year actually felt — is the work. Here is exactly how Kito does it.
Your photographs are processed to build your book and nothing else. They are never used to train models, never sold, and deleted from our servers thirty days after your book ships.
Out of nine frames of the same moment it finds the one where the eyes are open, the hands are right, and nobody is mid-blink — then quietly puts the other eight away.
Timestamps, locations and faces are read together, so a summer reassembles itself into arrival, the long middle, and the drive home — not a wall of Tuesdays.
Screens forgive things paper does not. Kito lifts shadows, corrects mixed indoor light, and sharpens for ink so a dim restaurant photo survives the press.
Spreads are composed around where people actually are in the frame. Faces never fall in the gutter, and a quiet photo is given the whole page it deserves.
